From Neuronal Activation to BOLD Fluctuations
Weekday Course
Neuro
Thursday, 14 May 2026
Ballroom East
16:00 - 17:50
Moderators: Antonia Kaiser & Nina Fultz
Session Number: 604-03
CME/CE Credit Available
This course will describe some fundamentals of functional MRI, from physiology to acquisition and analysis. It will cover the measurement and analysis of spontaneous fluctuations in brain activity using resting-state BOLD fMRI, the biophysical origins of the fMRI signal and modelling, and how modelling and advanced acquisition are combined to extract more quantitative physiological measures, including cerebral oxygen metabolism.
