Preclinical studies pave the way from bench to bedside in drug development. But what about MRI? Are preclinical imaging findings transferable to clinical studies? This course is intended to provide insights into the nuts and bolts of preclinical MRI, highlights the benefits and challenges, and gives a perspective on the transferability of preclinical imaging to human studies. From mice to men: which techniques made it? These questions will be answered for different topics, ranging from functional MRI to brain tumors and infectious diseases of the brain.
