This forum examines the evolving landscape of scientific publishing, highlighting key ethical challenges, including authorship, AI use, and peer review integrity, while exploring real-world case studies and guidance to support responsible research and publication practices. It explores the ethical responsibilities of radiographers in MRI research, particularly in resource-limited settings, highlighting challenges related to dual clinical-research roles, protocol justification, and data governance, and providing practical strategies to navigate ethical decision-making in real-world practice. Furthermore, it explores the ethical considerations of conducting MR research with vulnerable populations, including historical foundations of human subject protections, identification of at-risk groups, and practical guidance for ethical research practice. Lastly, this forum explores the role of postmortem MRI in perinatal death investigations, including supporting evidence, less invasive alternatives to autopsy, and key technical considerations, applications, and limitations of this imaging approach.
