3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
3.1 Account Registration: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain the accuracy of your account information.

4. Intellectual Property Rights
4.1 Ownership: All content submitted to the Portal, including abstracts, figures, and supplementary materials, remains the intellectual property of the conference organizers upon submission.
4.2 License Grant: By submitting content to the Portal, you grant the conference organizers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content for conference-related purposes.
4.3 Confidentiality: All submitted abstracts and review materials are considered confidential until officially published by the conference organizers.
4.4 No Unauthorized Downloads: Users may not download, copy, or distribute any content from the Portal without explicit written permission from the conference organizers.
5. Submission Guidelines
5.1 Original Work: All submissions must be original work. Plagiarism or submission of previously published work without proper disclosure is prohibited.
5.2 Accuracy: You certify that all information in your submissions is accurate and truthful.
5.3 Ethical Compliance: All research must comply with applicable ethical standards and regulations.
5.4 Co-author Consent: By listing co-authors, you confirm that you have their permission to include them in the submission.
6. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure
6.1 Reviewer Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality of all abstracts and materials they review.
6.2 Pre-publication Embargo: Users may not publicly disclose or discuss submitted abstracts until they are officially published by the conference organizers.
6.3 Review Process: Details of the review process, including reviewer identities and comments, are confidential.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Portal to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Portal
- Interfere with or disrupt the Portal's operation
- Harvest or collect user information without consent
- Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Portal
8. Data Security and Retention
8.1 Security Measures: echo implements industry-standard security measures to protect user data and submitted content.
8.2 Data Retention: Submitted abstracts and associated data will be retained indefinitely for archival and historical purposes.
8.3 No Guarantee: While we strive to protect your data, echo cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PORTAL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. echo DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, echo SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE PORTAL.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless echo, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Portal or violation of these Terms.
12. Modifications to Terms
echo reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
